Database and Cloud Engineer - Full-time / Part-time

Senior Database and Cloud Engineer - $80,000 - $95,000 - Wadsworth Ohio

PrideStaff is conducting a search on behalf of their Wadsworth client who is searching for a Senior Database/Cloud Engineer.

Responsibilities:

- Contribute to Cloud strategy decisions on overall Cloud solutions.

- Identify system enhancement and automation opportunities for installing/maintaining database technologies, building, deploying and monitoring applications as well as alerting and remediating system outages.

- Provide installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting support for database application software both on premises and in the Cloud.

- Work closely with other infrastructure teams to deliver new environments and resolve problems related to existing infrastructure.

- Collaborate closely with software development teams and work towards common goals

- Design, test and support solutions for Disaster Recovery on premises and in the Cloud

- Support for the adoption of DevOps methodology and Agile project software development practices- Diagram and document database Cloud implementations.

- Provide mentoring, knowledge transfer and assist in training for other members of the database team

This candidate must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment. This position requires the capability to work on multiple projects with a positive attitude.

This is a full-time opportunity located in the Wadsworth, Ohio area.

Requirements:

5+ years of database administration ? 3+ years of Linux server experience

2+ years Amazon AWS Cloud databases

Bachelors Degree in related field Desired Skills:

Intermediate scripting experience (Powershell, Bash, Python, etc)

Strong troubleshooting and problem resolution skills

Ability to work in team environment and think creatively

Deep understanding of cloud methodologies

Intermediate knowledge of container architecture, including orchestration

Ability to communicate complex technical processes to peers
