An established medical device manufacturer in San Clemente is seeking an Assembly Technician. This position is available immediately. This is a four-day work schedule, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 to 5:30. It's an enjoyable working environment, and once hired by the company you be eligible for excellent employee benefits. This is a temp-to-hire position, with the pay ranging from $14 to $15/hour, based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and repetitive assembly operations using components and sub-assemblies in the company’s product line in accordance with the strict guidelines for quality and consistency.
  • Inspect and test precision parts and assemblies using precision measuring and testing equipment.
  • Visually examine parts of completeness, work quality, and obvious defects.
  • Assembly requires the utilization of small parts and tools and may also require the use of optical equipment and/or magnifiers.
  • Hand winding very fine or small gauge wire.
  • Solder PC boards.
  • Utilize PC software, when required to perform the assembly.
  • From time to time, other duties may be assigned which are not specific to Assembly position.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Able to read a bill of material.
  • Very good manual dexterity skills must be able to proficiently handle very small parts.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English; able to comprehend and follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Excellent eye sight and able to use optical equipment.
  • Able to operate standard test equipment.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production deadlines.
  • Able to understand and maintain strict and consistent standards of quality.
  • Must be organized, detailed oriented, reliable and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Available for overtime, when needed.
