One of our top clients in Hayward is in need of a Customer Service Supervisor! This is a full-time, temp-to-hire position!

CUSTOMER SERVICE SUPERVISOR

Job description
  • Reports to the Facility Manager, Operations Manager, Director & VP Level Management.
  • Responsible to plan and direct the activities of the Customer Services Department to meet customer needs and satisfy company objectives.
  • Develops procedures, establishes standards and administers activities to ensure the timely delivery of product to customers and effective response to customer requests, problems and requirements.
  • Works directly with Customer Service Department on an ongoing basis to facilitate and conduct training.
Labor Management:
  • Supervise Customer Services Representatives (CSRs).
  • Coordinate daily workflow.
  • Coordinate new accounts, gathering all necessary information and assigning accounts to CSRs.
  • Audit all new accounts and follow up on responsibilities of the CSRs to ensure that customer needs have been met.
  • Maintain a productive staff by creating programs for hiring, training and professional development.
  • Apply sound communication and motivational techniques in supervising, coaching, and disciplining associates.
  • Manage associate performance and recommend promotions wage increases and terminations.
Customers Service:
  • Make introductory contact with new accounts and maintain effective relationships with existing accounts.
  • Address the more complex and non-routine customer issues and requests.
  • Direct and control the release of orders to shipping to ensure timely delivery to customers and meet company efficiency goals.
  • Direct and oversee order processing and ensure that data entries on documents such as bills of lading and inventory reports are accurate and timely.
  • Make recommendations to senior management on programs to improve the operation of the customer services function.
  • Interact with credit and collections personnel regarding payment problems.
Documentation / Reporting:
  • Maintain an up-to date procedures manual.
  • Provide necessary reports to management.
  • Gather and analyze data concerning department operations and customer requirements.
  • Distribute reports to various functional areas as required .
  • Interact with other departmental management to achieve goals. Attend warehouse planning meetings.
Knowledge/Skills:
  • Requires direct related experience in customer service with management skills such as planning, supervising, controlling, organizing and staffing.
  • Communication skills are necessary to establish effective working relationship.
  • Knowledge of customer relationship management software programs, computer functions, inventory management, and accounting is required.
Special Requirements:
  • Must have responsible work habits and pass any pre-employment tests, drug test and background check.
Skills and Experience:
  • Education - High school or equivalent .
  • Management Experience - 1 year
