Maintenance Parts Room Clerk

Client in the Lemoore/Hanford area is searching for a Maintenance Parts Room Clerk to join their team. This is for a large, established company in the area.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Maintenance Parts Clerk works under the direction of the Inventory Control Supervisor is responsible for accurately receiving inbound freight, replenishing parts to storeroom and mobile parts vans along with pick up and delivery of parts and all cycle counts.
  • Receiving of all inbound freight and reconcile packing slips to requisitions.
  • Make necessary copies and notations for discrepancies and back orders.
  • Performs receiving function in Plant Maintenance computer program.
  • Physical stocking of replenishment parts to the shelves.
  • Daily parts deliveries and errands, wash truck weekly.
  • Perform inventory of stockroom and three parts vans on daily, weekly, monthly and year-end basis.
  • Picking, tagging, and packaging of parts for restocking vans.
  • Replenishment of parts to vans at work sites.
  • Parts deliveries and pickup at work sights after vans return.
  • Computer entry of parts issued from stockroom to equipment.
  • Loading and unloading of freight.
  • Packaging and shipping of parts as required.
  • Complete daily inspection of forklift using appropriate forms.
  • Clean, dump trash, sweep and mop work area daily.
  • Inspect and clean waste oil containment area daily and crush filters on a weekly basis.
  • Other duties as directed by the Maintenance Inventory Control Supervisor.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
  • Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs without assistance; up to 100 pounds with assistance;
  • Must be able to stoop and bending for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to work in changing weather conditions – heat/cold.
  • Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to work in cramped confined spaces.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum 2-5 years experience in related field
  • Computer literate: SAP, RF Bar Coding, Excel and Microsoft Outlook experience preferred
  • Forklift experience required.
  • Ability to perform and comprehend verbal and written communication in English.
  • Ability to perform basic math to include addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Meet all physical requirements of the job, including the ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and work in cold and/or hot and dirty environment.
  • Must have a Valid drivers license and have a clean driving record to be considered.
  • Must be able to submit to background check
  • Must be willing to submit to a drug screen.

Pay $14/HR

Hours: 40 hr week - occasional over time and not guaranteed.
