Software Engineer

PrideStaff is hiring a Software Engineer for our client in Bloomington, IL

Full Time | $50k-$70k/yr.- Direct Hire

Our software engineers are focused on the continued design and development of a globally released commercial software product.

DUTIES AND ROLES
  • Full life cycle application development
  • Designing, coding and debugging applications in various software languages.
  • Software analysis, code analysis, requirements analysis, software review, identification of code metrics, system risk analysis, software reliability analysis
  • Object-oriented Design and Analysis (OOA and OOD)
  • Software modeling and simulation
  • Front end graphical user interface design
  • Software testing and quality assurance
  • Performance tuning, improvement, balancing, usability, automation
  • Support, maintain and document software functionality
  • Integrate software with existing systems
  • Evaluate and identify new technologies for implementation
  • Maintain standards compliance
SKILLS/ABILITIES
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Skills in modern web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript, CSS, Bootstrap, NodeJS, XML, and JSON, and proficiency in multiple other languages such as Go, VB or C# .NET, and java are preferred
  • Knowledge of Agile software development, design patterns, unit testing and automated build testing a plus
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Capable of meeting project deadlines
  • A computer science related degree is required.
  • Must have a minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in object oriented programming and relational databases
