CPA / Accountant Responsibilities:

CPA / Accountant Responsibilities:
- Build new and existing client relationships
- Prepare year-end financial statements (tax basis)
- Prepare federal and state income tax returns income tax returns from clients' accounting records
- Review GL account reconciliations prepared by bookkeeping staff
- Review/pay accounts payable prepared by bookkeeping staff
- Significant ad-hoc projects as needed
- Review payrolls, payroll tax returns, sales tax returns prepared by bookkeeping staff
- Assist with mentoring bookkeeping staff to develop their accounting and problem-solving skills
- CPA Certification or CPA eligible
- 3 to 5+ years prior tax preparation experience in public accounting
- Experience preparing tax returns, individual and business
- Experience preparing sales tax and payroll returns
- Lacerte Tax software a plus
- QuickBooks knowledge required
- Strong accounting and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Detail oriented & ability to multi-task
- Proficient user MS Office
- Salary commensurate with experience
