About this job

The functions of the Order Planner are as follows:
  1. Perform a wide variety of routine and complicated duties related to the processing of production orders following prescribed practices, procedures and instructions.
  2. Post movement of inventory, making up work orders, ordering through purchase requisitions, and maintaining all related files.
  3. Act as the primary contact with Corporate Engineering to keep the proper drawings, organized and filed properly and given to shop employees when needed with their work order packets.
  4. Provide inventory accuracy by timely cycle counts and maintain transaction accuracy and inventory reconciliation.


Qualifications:
  • Industry experience beneficial.
  • Possess good leadership skills and abilities.
  • Possess good mathematical and analytical skill sets.
  • Reliable, organized, detailed orientated and the ability to multi-task.
  • Working knowledge of a computer, 10-key and basic typing skills.
  • Ability and effectiveness to manage time to meet set target dates and deadlines.
  • Good written and oral communication skills for interacting and coordinating work within different departments of our organization.
  • Be able to utilize the computer and understand CAD drawings and blue prints.
  • Understand how a manufacturing plant functions by moving parts through a logical operation process and maintain bill of material accuracy.
  • Have the ability to give good oral, clear and legible written instructions in English, as well as receive and understand the same.
  • Knowledge and understanding of screw conveyor parts, components, and raw materials and parts necessary to produce the complete product.
  • High School Graduate a requirement.
  • College a plus.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to work at a desk or computer for eight hours minimum.
  • Occasionally being out in the shop environment to capture inventory.
  • Work a 40-hour week with occasional overtime required.
