Our client is looking for a Production Planner/3-PL Inventory Control Coordinator for a position in Saddle Brook, NJ.
Position Summary:
Will work directly for the Director of Supply Chain and support the Manufacturing Planner in 2 main capacities including WIP Production Planning and 3-PL Inventory control.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support finished goods manufacturing by prioritizing WIP operations to ensure weekly monthly production plans are being achieved and are on time.
- Determine manpower, equipment and raw materials needed to cover production demands
- Coordinate production workflow in the WIP manufacturing area, conduct daily and strategic problems solving and coordinate material movement in the production areas
- Investigate and provides resolution for all non-workable conditions to avoid work interruptions.
- Heavy emphasis on managing inventory at our 3PL site which includes monitoring SKU level demand and incoming schedules from overseas supplier(s) into the 3PL distribution centers.
- Resolve discrepancies, examine and investigate misidentified or out of balance items with root cause analysis and identify necessary preventive measures to assure there are no reoccurrence in our 3PL.
- Manages inventory levels at the companies 3PL locations.
- Matches forecast demand with on hand, on order, or in transit quantities and refine plans as supply chain variables change.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Logistics or Supply Chain (or commensurate experience)
- 5 to 7 years in production planning and inventory control environment. Successful incumbent will possess knowledge of varied manufacturing processes at its various stage-gates.
- Knowledge of Purchasing, Inventory Control, and Materials Management processes and inventory management methodologies.
- Strong command of ERP/MRP/WMS fundamentals related to Material Master and Inventory Control Modules.
- Strong understanding and Demand Planning of Raw Materials, Work-In-Process (WIP), Subassemblies and Finish Good inventory and processes.
- Strong analytical skills. Ability to break down raw information and unstructured problems into specific, workable components that reflect drivers of causal issues.
- Capable of forming logical conclusions, anticipates obstacles, and strives for superior results in a creative and resourceful manner.
- Excellent professional written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
- Exceptional organizational & prioritization skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel required (vlookup, pivot tables, etc.)
- Must be able to multi-task projects and deliverables.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong coordination and integration skills.
