Facilities Technician

Our client is looking for a Facilities Technician in Cranbury, NJ.

Performs installation, repair, and maintenance of critical and non-critical electrical, mechanical, and plumbing/piping equipment, machinery and controls located in the interior and exterior of the facility. Monitors operations and conducts routine and on-going assessment of the building systems operations and performance. Performs tests, rounds and analyzes data to ensure the proper functioning of equipment while working

Requirements

• At least 4 years general maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, facility, commercial building, or other comparable facilities operations setting.
• Must be able to complete training in forklift operation, lock out tag out, MSDS, ladder safety, emergency evacuation, in-house OSHA and respirator training.
• Should feel comfortable wearing self-contained breathing apparatus.
• Working conditions may include working outside in inclement weather, crawling in small cramped spaces, working from ladders, scaffolds and other above ground locations including high roofs; working in extreme temperatures, around moving machinery, and in confined spaces containing high levels of noise, dust, and odors could be expected.
• Other demands may include walking, standing, bending, and stooping for extended periods of time, lifting and carrying heavy objects up to 75 pounds, etc.
