The MedTrans Regional Supervisor of Driver Operations is responsible for operational support of a region of facilities with and without MedTrans Supervisors while reporting to the Senior Manager of MedTrans. The MedTrans Regional Supervisor of Driver Operations nteracts with cross functional teams to include, but not limited to: Sales, Engineering, HR, Customer Service, Finance, Operations, Payroll and Branch Personnel. This position will be responsible for assisting in providing private fleet services with keeping the expenses under control.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide operational support and acts as an subject matter expert for assigned branches on all things related to MedTrans (including, but not limited to: finances, equipment, routing, costing, proper staffing, maintenance, vendor relations, and safety and compliance)
  • Conduct financial review calls with MedTrans and Medline leadership
  • Collaborate with branch personnel, sales, and customers when business needs change in order to identify opportunities within MedTrans
  • Focus on revenue and cost analysis through efficient routing, effective vendor management, and continuous contact with branch personnel (including Directors, Supervisors and Drivers)
  • Analyze branch staffing levels, and assist in retention and recruitment as needed
  • Train and assist supervisors throughout their assigned region
  • Assist with branch set up when new facilities open within supervised territory Perform transportation analysis for territory realignments within MedTrans and/or new facilities, and implement effective operations procedures
  • Travel to assigned facilities to provide on-site support, and work closely with branch personnel, drivers, sales reps, and customers
  • Assist the Safety Department when visiting branches to ensure DOT Compliance, Policy and Procedures compliance, and address any identified safety issues immediately
  • Travel is required up to 30%
Qualification

Basic Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree.
Relevant Work Experience
  • Experience with analyzing operations
  • Experience with P&L Responsibility
  • Experience applying knowledge of cost components throughout supply chain, especially transportation and motor carrier operations.
  • Experience applying knowledge of FMCSA regulations.
Additional
  • Intermediate level skill in Microsoft Excel (for example: using SUM functions, using pivot tables, using V-Lookup functions, inserting charts, sorting, etc..)
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or transportation.
Additional

  • Experience with TMS and route optimization software a plus
  • Class A or CDL license a plus
  • Field operations is a plus
  • Logistics experience a plus
