JOB OVERVIEW:
Laundry Assistant will assist Laundry Supervisor with supervision and coordination of the activities of associates engaged in receiving, marking, washing, ironing, folding and transporting hotel, Resort Amenities, restaurant and pool linens.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
* Determine sequence of work to be scheduled through the laundry to provide quick and efficient service.
* Know and perform all stages of linen processing.
* Help maintain inventory controls.
* Inspect articles to determine methods of specific cleaning requirements.
* Inspect finished laundered articles to ensure conformance to standards.
* Observe operation of machines and equipment to detect possible malfunctions.
* Work cooperatively with other departments.
* Help with training, scheduling and supervising laundry staff.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
* High school diploma or equivalent.
* 2+ years laundry experience.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
* Housekeeping experience a plus.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Valid driver's license and insurance.
* Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel.
