Job Summary:

This position supports all aspects of the Corporate Benefits function. Primary focus is analysis of benefits data relating to Ecolab plans, benefit systems support and administration. The Benefits Analyst provides customer service to employees and HR business partners and provides analytical and technical support in the delivery of the benefits programs. The Benefits Analyst also supports administration of 401k, Pension, Health & Welfare and retirement plans.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Prepares management reports using multiple data sources, ensuring accuracy of employee data; process reports and data needed by HR-Finance and vendors for ongoing analysis; assist with management of monthly benefits budget and participate in the annual budgeting process.
  • Conducts the analysis and compliance of company established benefits plans and programs for our active associates and retirees.
  • Monitors benefit trends in the business environment and stays abreast of applicable benefits legislation.
  • Processes ongoing Short-Term Disability and Severance calculations and communicates with HR Business Partners and employees regarding these calculations
  • Responsible for HSA employee and employer funding and Be Well Rewards administration
  • Lead system liaison with our outsourced vendors for all benefits, with an ability to process flow and troubleshoot possible solutions for file and data related issues.
  • Takes a lead role in various ongoing and one-time projects and audits. Monitors and improves data collection and reporting procedures for efficiency. Project lead on overall process improvements in all benefit areas including maintaining up to date process documentation.
  • Supports 401(k) plan administration and stock purchase plan by processing wires and resolving data issues, etc.
  • Supports Pension Plan administration including pension issue resolution, reviewing and resolving monthly data feed edits, pension trust account reconciliation, annual mass change files
  • Process Executive Physical payments
Basic Qualifications:
  • Degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations or Business with three to five+ years of human resource experience.
  • May have an advanced degree in Industrial Relations or Business and fewer than two years of experience
  • Advanced Excel knowledge

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Three to Five years+ of experience in Benefits or Finance
  • Workday experience
  • Aptitude for complex spreadsheet reconciliations
  • Strong systems skills; Advanced Excel skills including vlookups, pivot tables, trouble shooting and creating complex formulas; macro experience a plus
  • Ability to remain flexible in a changing demanding environment
