Benefits Analyst

Job Summary

The Benefits Analyst is responsible for administering U. S. retirement plans, life, disability, leaves of absence and ancillary benefits in addition to managing global wellness initiatives. The incumbent will collaborate with vendors in addition to HR, Finance, Legal, Risk Management and other functions. This position reports to the Manager, Global Benefits.

Responsibilities

  • Assists in administering and communicating the company's U. S. retirement, life and disability and ancillary/voluntary benefit programs in regard to plan options, policy features, enrollment and other requirements
  • Responsible for administering leaves of absence in the U. S. (including California) and ensures quality vendor service management and ongoing reporting and analysis
  • Coordinates global wellness initiatives in addition to designing, implementing and administering ancillary benefit programs (e. g., EAP, discount programs, etc.)
  • Assists in facilitation of open enrollment, including conducting roadshows
  • Tracks monthly costs, audit vendor bills and facilitates payment and reporting
  • Surveys market data in order to determine company s competitive position in employee benefits
  • Assists all employees with benefit related inquiries, issues and data entries
  • Collaborates with payroll and vendors on administration, reporting, analysis, evidence of insurability and beneficiaries
  • Serves as an expert in the benefit module of SAP and manages benefit transactions and ensure data integrity through self-audits
  • Ensures company compliance with federal, state and local laws
  • Provides support in managing U. S. benefit plans
  • Conducts ad hoc analysis and reporting

Qualifications/Job Requirements

  • Bachelor s degree or equivalent with Certified Benefits Professional (CBP) or equivalent preferred
  • Minimum five years benefits related experience
  • Experience with SAP HCM or other similar ERP a plus
  • Knowledge of Excel
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
  • Knowledge of California Leave of Absence laws a plus
  • Must be able to handle sensitive and confidential information
  • Some travel may be required
