Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Benefits Specialist to join our team in Berwick, PA!Responsibilities:

  • Prepare benefit information for employees and notify employees of eligibility for benefits.
  • Track and process enrollment applications.
  • Explain and interpret more routine aspects of company health and welfare plans to employees and dependents.
  • Process assigned health and welfare plan payments and wires in a timely manner. Perform audits to insure accuracy.
  • Create and run reports as required to complete tasks timely and accurately.
  • Perform complex research and analysis to provide information on benefit programs and utilization.
  • May log employee deductions and the collection of any unpaid employee benefit deductions due to leave of absence, layoff or COBRA election.
  • Assist with COBRA notification.
  • May assist with open enrollment.
  • Accurately enter benefit enrollments and changes for health and welfare plans into HRIS.
  • Perform tasks for other Human Resources functional areas as assigned.
  • Work seasonal overtime up to 10 hours per week as needed.
Required Experience
  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working in an office environment with a high volume workload.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Intermediate skills in Excel preferred.
  • Previous 401(k) administration experience preferred.
