Must possess communications skills in terms of the ability to negotiate, convince, sell and influence potential hotel guests. Candidate will be responsible for handling reservations through multiple reservation channels. Must be able to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitude. Must be able to actively influence caller into converted bookings. Identify and act on upsell opportunities. Must have a customer service focus, and be knowledgeable of hotel features, benefits and policies to positively impact the guest experience. Must demonstrate strong problem solving skills and adaptability. Must have the ability to learn and master both reservation and hotel procedures. Knowledge and use of Opera property management system a plus. Assist in maintaining proper guest and billing records by use of PMS profiles and routing. Secure pre-arrival method of payment. Must be able to work with minimum direction. Strong verbal & written communication skills are required. Will promptly handle all guest inquiries regarding availability, services provided, hours of operation, etc. Must possess strong organizational and filing skills.
