Job Description:

Our client, a specialized credit card software company is looking for an Benefits Administrator for their San Jose, CA location. This person needs to be up to date on labor laws, worker's compensation, leaves of absences, FMLA, and various other HR benefits/labor regulations. This is a contract-hire opportunity that starts immediately!

The employee benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, supports insurance billing, supports employee database management related to benefits, and assists with payroll information processing.

Summary/Objective

The employee benefits coordinator position assists employees with benefits enrollment and questions, supports insurance billing, supports employee database management related to benefits, and assists with payroll information processing.

Working hours: 8am - 5 pm M-F

Skills:

Essential Functions

  • Supports various employee benefits programs, such as group health, flexible spending accounts, dental and vision, accident and disability, life insurance, 401(k), and wellness benefits.

  • Supports benefits orientations and explain benefits self-enrollment system.

  • Reviews employee benefits filing systems and ensure benefits changes are entered appropriately.

  • Assist employees with health, dental, life and other related benefit claims.

  • Verify the calculation of the monthly premium statements for all group insurance policies and maintain statistical data relative to premiums, claims and costs. Resolve administrative problems with the carrier representatives.

  • Monitor COBRA administration.

  • Coordinate workers' compensation claims with third-party administrator. Follow up on claims.

  • Assist Benefit team members in obtaining statistics and information in renewal process of any health, life and retirement plans that benefit the company.

  • Prepare and set up meetings designed to help employees obtain information and understand company benefits.

  • Experience with Workday is preferred

    Education:-Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or equivalent experience required

    Salary/Benefits:

    --Full time - Mon-Fri 8am - 5pm (OT is required as necessary.)

    --$25 - $28 hr
