Job Description:
Randstad's client, HAWORTH, is seeking a full time, Direct Hire, Benefits Manager in Holland, MI!
Ensures legal compliance for all North American benefits programs. Designs and monitors benefits programs for effectiveness; negotiates new contracts when needed to achieve Haworth's competitive benefits posture while keeping costs within strategive goals. Monitors and reports costs related to benefit program. Communicates value of benefit programs and ensures customer service-type approach to benefits-related questions raised by members. Supports Haworth's organizational strategy to be know as one of the "Best Places to Work."
Supports and implements decisions of Haworth Benefits Committee. Organizes and manages monthly benefits committee agendas and meetings
Ensures legal compliance for all North America
Implements benefit plan changes ans executes administrative activities to ensure proper operation of all benefit plans
Establishes and implements short and long term benefit strategies that achieve identified cost and value goals. Analyses costs and identifies trend that need to be addresses
Manages outside service providers
Develops operating procedure and standard work to ensure benefits subject matter experts and Human Resources Shared Services personnel are able to provide accurate and timely responses to all customer groups
Manages outside service providers
Serves as Haworth's HIPAA Privacy Security Officer
Develops and communicates effective member education and relations programs
Develops health and wellness programs for members
Leads and manages benefits team
Establishes peer group relationships and credibility
Creates and maintains standard work processes, utilizing Haworth Management Systems techniques, for major process and staff functions to ensure efficient departmental processing
Working hours: 8:00am-5:00pm
Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting.
10 years' benefit administration experience, including 4 years' managerial experience.
Excellent background in health benefits
Prior experience in Human Resources Information System
Benefits certification, such as Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or equivalent desired.
Knowledge on retirement benefits is a plus.
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellentunderstanding of employee benefit plan provisions and procedures; knowledge of federal laws pertaining to employee benefits plans, such as Affordable Care Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act and HIPAA
Demonstrated ability to be analytical while being data driven
Proven success in building strategist alliances with suppliers and maximizing the value of benefit dollar expended.
Excellent leadership, communication, planning, organization, project management, and customer service skills required
Working knowledge of pension, 401(k) and disability management required; working knowledge of Executive Compensation highly desired
Ability to travel overnight away from corporate offices, including internationally, up to 15% of the time.
