Food & Beverage Attendant

The Residence Inn Orangeburg is seeking an engaging, friendly, detail oriented Food & Beverage Attendant. This individual will provide extraordinary service, while creating memorable experiences for our guests.

This is a Part Time, evening opportunity. Shifts will be from 4pm-pm.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Welcome and acknowledge each and every guest with a smile, eye contact, and a friendly verbal greeting, using the guests name when possible.
• Complete opening and closing duties including setting up necessary supplies and tools, cleaning all equipment and areas, etc.
• Set up, stock and maintain work area.
• Inspect the cleanliness and presentation of all china, glass, and silver prior to use.
• Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day, practicing clean as you go procedures.
• Prepare all food at the correct temperature according to the HACCP guidelines.
• Follow appropriate personal hygiene procedures to ensure food served to guests is safe for consumption, including disinfecting hands prior to handling food and wearing a hat/hairnet and proper footwear.
• Ensure quality of the food items and notify manager if a product does not meet specifications.
• Monitor the quantity of food that is prepared and the portions that are served to control food waste and ensure that good food is not thrown away.
• Speak to guests and co-workers using clear, appropriate and professional language.
• Complete closing duties, including storing all reusable goods, breaking down goods, cleaning all equipment and areas, returning equipment to proper locations, locking refrigerators, restocking items, turning off lights.
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management
• Handle cash and credit card/room charge transactions through the MICROS point of sales system.
• Maintains key control for MICROS, storage and all areas as assigned.
