The Career Opportunity: Overnight Housekeeping Runner
This position has overall responsibility for assisting with delivery of items to guest, room attendants, Supervisors and other areas of hotel. Thisrole handlesall department errands dispatched through housekeeping services and/fromwithin the department. This role also assist with cleaning task in public areas and or guestcorridorsas needed.
Responsibilities:
- Assist room attendants with heavy items such as mattresses and linens. Deliver linens and other supplies to room attendants
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of guest floors, closets and vending areas
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of housekeeping equipment and supply areas
- Assists with cleaning designated housekeeping public areas of hotel inside and out
- Assists with snow removal as needed
- Respond to guests' requests such as delivery of housekeepingamenities, cribs, roll-a-ways, blankets, and valet pick-up/drop-off; allin a timely and efficient manner
- Monitor and control supplies and amenities, and minimize waste within all areas of housekeeping
- Assists with inventory of supplies and equipment as needed
- May collect newspaper and other items for recycling
- Communicates with the department desk coordinator on all order status using department Nextel radio
- Other task and projects as needed
- Use correct cleaning chemicals for designated surfaces, according to OSHA regulations and hotel requirements
- Ensure security of any assigned keys
