About this job

As a Benefits Coordinator (Temporary) you will povide excellent customer service by answering benefits questions, maintaining associate benefits records, and assisting with implementation of benefit-related special events. Processes and updates benefit records to ensure regulations such as HIPAA and COBRA are adhered. This position reports to the Comp & Benefits, Manager.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Run established BI reports to compile benefit eligible reports for benefit notifications, tracking, and audit.
  • Review and approve employee benefit elections.
  • Run and troubleshoot problems with carrier eligibility files.
  • Coordinate and implement wellness program activities, including but not limited to communications to employees, blood drive, flu shots, etc.
  • Calculate and track premium payments for employees on LOA.
  • Process 401(k)/DCP enrollments/loans/contribution changes and rollovers; coordinates with third-party administrator and investment representative to ensure accuracy of all necessary 401(k)/DCP benefit updates; reconciles and notifies all related parties on the amount of bi-weekly 401(k)/DCP deferrals and loans.
  • Partner with third party COBRA administrator to track and correct issues related to notifications and coverage.
  • Support the Open Enrollment process by answering employee questions and conducting audits.
  • Manage email notifications to eligible employees.
  • Create and maintain all associate benefits files and maintain employee records.
  • Perform other job duties as needed.
WHAT YOU NEED
  • HR higher education degree/certificate or equivalent work experience
  • 2+ years of experience working in a Benefits or Human Resources department
  • Experience with UltiPro preferred
  • Solid computer skills (Word, Excel, and database management) required
  • Needs to be well organized, detail oriented, and have exceptional time management skills
  • Illustrates a dedication to meeting requirements of internal and external customers, responding to all customer requests promptly and thoroughly
  • Strong communication skills including ability to work in a team environment, give honest, direct feedback and is a solid verbal and written communicator
  • Meets deadlines, prioritizes appropriately, copes well with change, and maintains composure under pressure
  • Is accountable for results, approaches obstacles proactively and looks for ways to resolve problems and issues
