WASHPERSON LAUNDRY - Full-time / Part-time

Description:

Responsible for manually loading washer extractors and dryers with linens and uniforms as required. Monitor microprocessors and work flow through the tunnel washers and dryers and the sortation automatic rail system.

Job Function

• Maintain production requirements and ensure efficiency and quality standards are met.
• Ensure equipment malfunctions are detected and remedied
• Monitor microprocessors for accuracy of called linen requirements to the tunnel washers and dryers
• Maintain a proper work flow to the finishing department to ensure timely production requirements and deliveries
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Properly discard damaged linens (stained, torn) into appropriate carts or bag racks for reclamation
• Follow all safety procedures
• Other related duties and tasks as assigned by Management.

Requirements:

Job Specifications

• Six (6) months of experience in a high volume laundry wash deck with washer extractors, tunnel washers and dryers preferred.
• Knowledge of microprocessors and automatic rail system.
• Must be able to stand and walk for the majority of a normal shift.
• Other physical requirements include but are not limited to lifting, reaching, kneeling, stooping, and bending.
• Bilingual (Spanish) a plus.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary licenses and/or certifications.
