Houseman - Full-time / Part-time

Thank you for your interest in working at River Terrace Inn! We are looking for positive, hard-working, and self-motivated individuals to join our housekeeping team. Current openings include: Houseman. Applications will be accepted online or in person.
The Houseman plays an important role in the Housekeeping Department - he or she will support the team in cleaning the public areas, assisting the Housekeepers with stripping rooms and delivering linen. The Houseman position requires strength, flexibility and a positive attitude.

• Clean and maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the hotel lobby, hallways, public restrooms, and public areas of the hotel.
• Clean and maintain the appearance of the surrounding areas of the hotel, including the sidewalk, brass awning poles, signage, entrance and alley.
• Deep cleaning of assigned areas of the hotel including the shampooing of rooms and public areas, window washing, hotel light fixtures, and guest elevators (including elevator tracks).
• Clean and maintain the back of the house area, including the employee break room, the changing rooms, the hotel laundry room, the compactor area, and the employee restroom.
• Deliver housekeeping items (hair dryers, ironing boards, irons, etc.) to guest rooms upon request from the front desk.
• Get assignments, keys, pager, and special guest requests from your supervisor at the beginning of your shift.
• Quickly respond to guest requests in a timely and friendly matter.
• Follow procedures for entering and leaving guest rooms.

• Must possess good organizational /time management skills
• Must be a self motivator - work with little supervision
• Must be able to work in a fast paced environment
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• Must be in good physical condition, frequent pushing/pulling/reaching/stooping/handling
• and gripping is required
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds (lifting above the shoulder is also required)
• Dependable and reliable
• Able to work morning, weekend, evening and holiday shifts
