NETSCOUT SYSTEMS is currently searching for an experienced Benefits administrator to join a centralized Benefits Team at our Corporate headquarters in Westford, MA. This position is responsible for providing administrative support to the HR department and employees in the areas of benefits, on-boarding/orientation, and HR projects.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Receives, reviews, and processes documents pertaining to new hires, benefits enrollment, and personnel actions, verifying for completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established policy and procedural requirements.
  • Provides information and assistance on employee benefits, enrollment procedures and documentation, claims escalations, and benefits systems.
  • Responsible for administering assigned benefits plans, i. e., medical, disability, 401k, etc., including educating and assisting employees with enrollment. Investigates and resolves problems or issues between employees and insurance carriers. Conducts group or individual benefit orientations and information sessions.
  • Conducts new hire orientation and assists in explaining and implementing benefit program changes.
  • Receives, verifies, and enters individual benefits documentation into the Human Resources Information System to generate appropriate paperwork for payroll adjustments. Involved in system design and implementation and data integrity.
  • Supports and troubleshoots interfaces between primary benefit enrollment database and vender systems as well as maintain employee data in the HRIS system. Liaises with Benefits System provider to resolve data issues.
  • Reviews, edits and approves all benefit vendor invoices for integrity of data.
  • Manages annual external benefits survey data input and may assist with compensation survey input.
  • May assist in preparation of government filings, plan audits, or other tax-reporting requirements.
  • Enters employee data into the human resources information system; assists in the maintenance of personnel files.
  • As part of the Operations teams, maintains employee records regarding hires, terminations, transfers, compensation rates, status changes and other data. Process and distribute paperwork applicable to all related changes in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Work with accounting department in regards to tracking personal leave, vacation time, tuition reimbursement, and COBRA payment information.
  • Responsible for accident report procedures to workers compensation contact and maintenance of related records (OSHA log).
  • Assist Company management in disability care management, including providing paperwork to employees, contacting health care providers, processing paperwork, and interfacing with human resources employees, managers, and payroll to insure that benefits are provided in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Performs routine problem resolution or referral on matters pertaining to employment, employee benefits, and/or employee administration.
  • Processes separation documents for terminating employees and advises appropriate departments as well as administers COBRA eligibility and enrollment.
  • Assists with the maintenance of the HR Intranet site to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Assists with HRIS system upgrades and enhancements
  • Performs other duties as necessary

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities Required:

  • This position requires 5-8 years of prior experience in HR Benefits Administration
  • Business Degree a plus
  • Solid knowledge of FMLA, ADA, ACA, COBRA, and ERISA
  • Experience administering 401k plans
  • Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is essential
  • Previous HRIS experience required, with Oracle ideal
  • Experience in international benefit administration helpful but not required
  • Must be proactive and have the ability to work effectively under pressure and within short time constraints, with minimal direct supervision
  • The successful individual will be able to alter priorities in a continually changing environment, the ability to communicate those changes and bring issues to a quick and solid resolution
  • Good judgment in resolving issues, the ability to maintain confidential information, the ability to work independently to achieve results, and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required
