JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible to prepare and serve food at scheduled functions, under the supervision of the catering supervisor. Deliver food and beverages to catered functions. Set up, serve, break down and clean up at catering functions.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or GED required.
6 months of food service, wait staff, or catering experience required.
Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

Able to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos required.
Ability to adhere to documents such as safety rules, operations and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals required.
Ability to write routine reports and correspondence required.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on one and small group situations to catering client and outside vendors required.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals required.
Ability to compute ratio and percent required.
Ability to apply common sense understanding, carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS*:


Able to stand and walk frequently.
Able to lift/carry 0-10 constantly; 11-20 lbs frequently, 21-50 lbs occasionally.
Able to push/pull 0-20 lbs frequently; 21-75 lbs occasionally.
Able to climb occasionally; reach constantly.
Able to use hands for simple/firm grasping.
