Our caregivers focus on each unique patient to deliver the appropriate care and emotional support to our patients and their families.

Our Community Care divisionis currently recruiting for a Special Care Attendant.

  • Tasks may include providing assistance with house keeping, meal preparation, laundry, running errands/shopping and assistance with personal care.
  • When assigned and deemed competent must perform any health-related tasks that may be delegated by a registered nurse (RN) in accordance with the agencys written policy.
  • Must respect and keep confidential private client information and property
  • Must be free of communicable disease or illness when reporting to work
  • Must call and report to a supervisor in advance if sick or unable to be at work for any reason
  • Must report client incidents/accidents to a supervisor immediately
  • Must report and respond to emergencies in a calm manner, i.e., calling 911 and notifying a supervisor
  • Must report to a supervisor any change in the clients health or if the client is hospitalized
  • Report to a supervisor any suspected abuse, neglect or exploitation
  • Report to a supervisor for any reason the client is not found to be at home, not responding to the door, or if the client leaves on vacation
  • Report to a supervisor any unsafe activity or hazardous situation found at a clients home or property
  • Know how to use proper body mechanics or devices in the clients home as needed for transferring or other tasks

Required Skills
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be physically capable of performing personal care tasks, as described in the tasks listed in the Capabilities Chart.
  • Able to understand and carry out directions or instructions and to record notes and keep records.
  • Has access to transportation.
  • Must not have a criminal conviction which bars employment.
  • Must have no adverse record or be listed in the Nurse Aide Registry or Employee Misconduct Registry or on the Office of Inspector General Medicaid Exclusion Database.
  • Must have six months experience providing attendant care services.
