JOB OVERVIEW
Supervise the daily operations of the Front Desk staff to maximize revenues and profits while attaining optimal guest satisfaction.

REPORTS TODirector of Operations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Interview, hire, train, recommend performance evaluations, resolve problems, provide open communication and recommend discipline and/or termination when appropriate.
  • Implement company and franchise programs and manage the operations of the Front Desk (Guest Service Agents, AYS, Van Drivers & Security) to ensure compliance with LSOPs and SOPs and to ensure an optimal level of quality service and hospitality are provided to the hotel customers.
  • Respond and resolve customer complaints, anticipate potential problems by reviewing and monitoring complaints, operational issues, business flow and associate performance to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and quality.
  • Supervise and work along-side the Guest Service Agents, At Your Service, Transportation & Loss Prevention.
  • Interact with the sales staff to discuss and implement sales strategies to continually improve occupancy levels and revenues.
  • Monitor and maintain the Front Desk systems and equipment to ensure their optimum performance.
  • Remain calm and alert, especially during emergency situations and/or heavy hotel activity, serving as a role model for clerks and other employees. Resolve customer complications and complaints by conducting thorough research of the situation and determining the most effective solutions. Make decisions and take action based on previous experience and good judgment, sometimes revising approach to accommodate unusual situation. Authorize revenue allowances to remedy problems only after other alternative solutions have been offered.
  • Conducts regular inspections of the rooms related guest areas for appearance, safety, staffing, security and maintenance issues.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1 Year previous Front Desk Supervisor experience required.
  • Clear Driving record for last 3 years required.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelors degree in hospitality related field preferred.
  • 1 Year of previous Front Desk Manager experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of PMS, Opera, Micros, Word, Excel, Outlook skills preferred.
