About this job

Responsibilities:

  • Support the strategy, design, and development of health care and wellbeing programs for hourly and salaried U. S. active employees and salaried retired employees
  • Lead business owner for multiple health plans; responsibilities include: work with health plans to identify cost reduction opportunities and efficiencies, monitor performance metrics, facilitate implementation meetings and manage required application control reviews
  • Develop legally required documents, e. g., Plan Documents, Summary Plan Descriptions, Summary of Benefits and Coverage, etc.
  • Lead and/or assist with benefit change implementations in project management role
  • Lead and/or assist with Request for Proposals
  • Prepare and deliver PowerPoint presentations to cross-functional teams related to benefits and wellbeing programs, strategy, and/or recommendations
  • Lead and/or participate on large, complex projects as assigned on the health and welfare benefits team
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and superior problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated project management, change management, conflict resolution, and facilitation skills
  • Experience with employer sponsored benefit programs
  • Team player with proven track record working with and/or leading cross-functional teams
  • Self-starter with ability to effectively manage multiple complex projects at the same time and meet aggressive deadlines
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and follow protocol related to sensitive information
Job Requirements:
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of health care benefit experience (vendor management, development of benefit strategies, benefit plan administration)
  • Bachelor Degree
  • 1+years experience in Microsoft Office applications, with exceptional PowerPoint skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Strong overall health care background (plan design, administration, policy, communications, understanding of health care system, etc.)
  • Experience/knowledge of the health care reform policy and regulatory environment
  • Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) or similar benefits designation and/or coursework preferred
  • Experience with health care claims evaluation and data warehouses preferred
  • Successful candidate should be able to demonstrate leadership in One FORD (leadership) behaviors combined with outstanding interpersonal, teambuilding, and communication skills
