Description Standard Qualifications: We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join the Central Resource Pool at Johnston-Willis Hospital. The Central Resource Pool at Johnston-Willis Hospital is composed of experienced Registered Nurses who float throughout the facility to all the units within their scope of practice. Our Central Resource Pool (CRP) nurses bring a vast variety of clinical experiences to Johnston-Willis Hospital and to our patients. Nursing departments floated to include the following: ICU, NSICU, Telemetry Units, Medical/Surgical Units, Orthopedic, Oncology, Womens Health Unit, Emergency Department and the PACU. Our 292-bed hospital offers a full range of healthcare services, with specialties in addition to inpatient rehabilitation such as cancer care through the Thomas Johns Cancer Hospital, our ER which is a state-authorized level III trauma center, and neuroscience, including our first-in-Richmond Gamma Knife Center. The Central Resource Pool Registered Nurse performs care under the direction of the unit Nursing Leadership Team and the Director. The Nurse: Provides therapeutic and administrative services necessary for the care of the patient, in support of HCA ethical principles and values. Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents all aspects of patient care. Delegates appropriate tasks to unlicensed personnel and provides required supervision. Works closely with all health care providers to facilitate and coordinate efficient, effective, and quality healthcare. Communicates effectively and maintains therapeutic relationships with patients, families, physicians, and staff. Evaluates patients signs and symptoms, and records and reports results. Sets priorities and modifies patient care in response to changing conditions by utilizing problem solving skills and exhibiting good judgment. Collaborates with physicians regarding patient progress towards the outcome attainment. Assists physician during treatment/examination of patient and processes orders. Makes appropriate and timely notification to physicians on patient condition changes. Attend unit meetings as directed by the Nursing Leadership Team and participates in continuing education programs to maintain competence and gain additional skills. Patient Rights -Works to support and protect the rights of each patient served, treats each patient with dignity and care, and maintains patient confidentiality/privacy. Patient Safety Demonstrates commitment to patient safety initiatives including patient falls, medication safety, National Patient Safety Goals, critical value reporting, and administration of blood products.
