Your Responsibilities
As aFacilities Engineerfor John Deere, you will be responsible for facilities electrical maintenance tasks, including:
Safety, lockout tagout
Power distribution planning
Factory HVAC system management
Electrician training for NFPA70 & 70E compliance
Facilities project management and implementation
Machine electrical troubleshooting
Electrical work order failure pareto analysis
Factory building automation system design and maintenance
Factory insurance risk management
Factory utilities engineering/one-line drawings
Factory utilities expense tracking, budgeting and planning
Design and implementation of factory energy savings projects
Electrical preventative maintenance planning
Factory fire protection system maintenance
Purchasing maintenance materials

What Skills You Need
Experience with project management
Experience with preventative and predictive maintenance
Ability to work in a team environment to support facilities maintenance staff
Ability to provide project work direction to skilled tradesmen
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, up to 25%
Ability to work weekends, as needed (on-call and/or scheduled)

Experience with SAP
Experience with industrial risk management
Experience with industrial automation
Experience with machine electrical maintenance
Experience with electrical power distribution
Experience with industrial utilities design and maintenance
Experience with HVAC controls and energy savings project justification
Experience searching the market for qualified suppliers of materials and services
Experience seeking competitive and negotiated sources for materials, equipment and services for maintenance and new construction projects
Experience preparing purchase orders for management approval
Education (or equivalent experience)
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or another technical discipline
