Description Standard Qualifications: Come and join ourStaRN Program! We invite new graduate RN's to apply for this unique opportunity. The next program begins onNovember 13, 2017, and is comprised of didactic training, high definition simulation and clinical preceptorship at Putnam Community Medical Center.Note: the first 7 weeks of this program may require travel to our training center in the Gainesville area. Military & Spouses of Military are now being offered a New Hire Bonus to join our HCA team of hospitals!!(See below for details!) This intensive training program is designed for new graduate Registered Nurses interested in starting their career inMed/Surg or Critical Carenursing. Certifications will be gained throughout this program, such as: BLS/ACLS, CPI and NIH Stroke Scale. Thispaidprogram will allow new graduate RN's to obtain experience through an intensive internship program (typically running for a total of around 14 weeks).Upon successful completion of the program, nurses will transition into an available full-time role at Putnam Community Medical Center,and will get credit for one year of RN experience (increasing the pay rate), plus we'll take into consideration prior healthcare experience at that time (such as CNA or LPN)! All who are selected for this program will sign a 2 year agreement with PCMC. If a nurse chooses to leave the facility before the 2 year commitment is fulfilled, they may be required to meet a monetary responsibility. Requirements: Graduate of an accredited nursing school within 1 year preferred Florida Registered Nurse license is requiredpriorto program start date Self-motivated and strong communication skills required Putnam Community Medical Center, a 99-bed, acute care facility, located at 611 Zeagler Drive, in Palatka, provides the latest technology with the assurance of highly trained, caring professionals to the residents of Putnam County. Putnam Community Medical Center offers a 10-bed Intensive/Critical Care Unit, Step-Down Care Unit, Cardiac Cath Lab, medical and surgical units, family birthplace center, and a 24-hour emergency department. We also provide inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services. We realize that in the Florida market a significant number of new nursing graduates are licensed and passed their boards, or waiting for their sit passes to take the NCLEX. However, a shortage of positions for beginning nurses leaves many graduates unemployed or under-employed.
