POSITION SUMMARY

Ensure safe and efficient operations of the lifts or tubing operations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES (list in order of importance)

This position is responsible for the following job results .

  • Training employees in proper techniques in loading and unloading of all aerial lifts, conveyor lifts, tow ropes, and surface lifts.
  • Assisting guests with regards to the use of all aerial lifts, conveyor lifts, tow ropes, and surface lifts
  • Ensuring that all staff are reporting to work in proper
  • Instructing employees in the proper use of lift controls and safety
  • Training staff in the proper operation of the
  • Ensuring that all proper signage is in place and
  • Assisting other departments in their daily routines pertaining to the use of the Ensuring that all ramps are smooth, level, and free of ice, instructing subordinates of needed changes.
  • Monitoring and listening to all operating
  • Maintaining tubing hill facility with a snowcat/groomer.
  • Monitoring of weather conditions and shutting down operations in the event of severe wind, thunder or other unusual weather conditions that may affect the safety of
  • Updating manager and mechanics of severe weather
  • Instructing and guiding guests through maze, loading, and unloading Answering questions or concerns of our guests or other employees.
  • Attending seminars, reading industry publications, reviewing service bulletins, and keeping up on latest updated to the ANSI-B77 code changes
  • Assisting staffing the tubing department and other
  • Resolving conflicts that the staff may have. Acknowledging good
  • Checking tickets and passes politely. Looking for counterfeit tickets or
  • Checking that tubing attendants are completing lift logs properly
  • Ensuring that subordinates are completing lift incident forms completely
  • Checking inventories and anticipating needed supplies, verifying orders upon receipt of
  • Producing weekly operations schedules. Assigning staff based on staffing numbers anticipated business, absenteeism
  • Assisting and or conducting staff
  • Monitoring and adjusting tubing inventory
  • Conducting safety-training Ensuring lift stations and areas are kept clean and neat by subordinates.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or proven ability to read, write, perform basic mathematical functions, and aptitude to learn/use computer system(s).

Experience:2 seasons, Tubing attendant or supervisory position

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS

  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience with tubing operations or
  • Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience in a supervisory role
  • Must have some snowcat/groomer or heavy equipment knowledge
  • Must have some computer knowledge
  • Must meet minimum requirements of the Snowshoe Driver's Program

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

Any Intrawest employee or volunteer who operates a company vehicle including cars, trucks, snowcats, snowmobiles, or heavy equipment is required to comply with the Intrawest Driver s Standards Policy. This policy also applies to employees or volunteers driving their personal vehicles for company business more than four times per month, averaging 30+ miles per trip. All drivers should receive a full copy of the Intrawest Driver s Standards Policy; if you have not please contact your Risk/Safety or HR/EE Department.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING CONDITIONS

This position may be required to work evenings, weekends and holidays.

Office Environment:

  • Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 20 pounds on an occasional basis.
  • Manual dexterity to operate a computer and other common office equipment on a constant basis.
  • Auditory and visual acuity to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on a constant basis
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time sitting, bending, reaching, and speaking on a constant basis.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time standing, walking, kneeling, pushing and pulling on an occasional basis.
  • Talking and hearing occur continuously in the process of communicating with guests, supervisors and other employees.
