Unit Description
Sodexo on the campus of Ithaca College is seeking an Executive Chef 1 who will be responsible for culinary operations supporting a large Resident Dining location serving approximately 10-12k meals weekly, Catering and Retail Locations . There are three Residential Dining Halls on this campus with approximately 7,000 students enrolled. Reporting to the campus Executive Chef, this manager will oversee a culinary team and will manage the daily food production operations for a large student residential dining unit, plus campus catering that is funneled through this location. Ithaca hosts 3,000 catering events a year!
This manager will typically work Tuesday - Saturday from 11am - 7pm, but must be flexible based on changes in business needs.
The best qualified candidate will have the following:

High-volume, College/University or contract management food service culinary experience

Experience training and leading a culinary staff

Catering food production/culinary program experience

Experience with food and labor management systems

Experience with on-line food/product ordering systems

Experience with food and physical safety programs

Qualifications & Requirements
Basic Education Requirement - Associate's Degree
Basic Management Experience - 2 years
Basic Functional Experience 1 year work experience in food or culinary services including restaurants, fast food, vending, catering services, institutional services, mall food courts, etc.
