Job Description:

Job Summary:

The Benefits Specialist is a key member of the Benefits team who will assist in the administration of various benefit programs including the Affordable Care Act, employee communications, and billing processes. The Specialist plays an active role in Open Enrollment and ongoing communication of company perks & benefits. This position will also spend significant time updating the Vail Resorts benefits website, performing administrative audits and processing inter-resort transfers.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Own the Affordable Care Act (ACA) administrative processes, including performing audits on a regular basis
  • Develop and distribute employee communications via email, mail, and the benefits website
  • Receive and process invoices for payment
  • Manage voluntary benefit offerings to ensure they are being promoted and enhanced
  • Participate in cyclical benefit programs including:
    • Open enrollment processes, including monitoring online system for accuracy and processing open enrollment elections in system
    • Notifications to HR
  • Responding to employee and HR inquiries regarding Vail Resorts benefits
  • Work with stakeholders to identify and communicate summer perks
  • Conduct benefit trainings for HR
  • Manage the inter-resort transfer process
  • Assist with acquisition and integration activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements:

Education:

  • Preferred Bachelor s degree and/or equivalent experience

Work Experience:

  • 1-5 Years relevant work experience and analytical role

Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and Internet Explorer.

Language(s) Skill:

  • Ability to speak English is necessary
  • Bilingual Spanish/English a plus

Other Requirements:

  • Able to successfully multi-task
  • Able to deliver effective results, meet tight deadlines and targets
  • Strong oral and written communication

Preferred Skills:

  • Peoplesoft HRMS experience
