Summary:

The Revenue Accounting Specialist is responsible for reconciling a variety of accounts (lottery, Sales Accounts, Credit Card, etc.) and for recording various entries to sales and tender accounts. This position is also responsible for reporting sales totals to a variety of brand partners in adherence with all contractual requirements, setting up credit card merchant accounts, ensuring that funds are mapped to the correct locations, and performing all other responsibilities as directed by the business or as assigned by Management. This is a non-exempt position and typically reports to the Revenue Accounting Analyst.

Essential Functions:
  • Reports brand sales totals to a variety of partners
  • Records journal entries for various sales and tender accounts
  • Reconciles several accounts such as Lottery, Credit Card and Employee sales
  • Performs departmental quality audits and reports all findings to management
  • Sets up credit card merchant accounts and related mapping
  • Provides support to Revenue Accounting Analyst and department manager on various projects and assists with data gathering, research and testing
Minimum Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills, and Work Environment:
  • Requires a High School diploma or general education development (GED) diploma; Associate's degree from two-year college or university preferred
  • Requires a solid knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Solid knowledge of PeopleSoft Financials preferred
  • Requires the ability to speak, read and comprehend instructions, short correspondence and policy documents, as well as converse comfortably with individuals
  • Requires basic keyboarding or other repetitive motions
  • At least 1 year of experience in accounting preferred
