Looking for an organized, experienced buyer who is looking for a long term opportunity with a growing company in Morton, IL. Responsible for coordinating and assisting on projects that affect production control, purchasing, engineering teams as well as the companies supplier network.
Job Description
- Majority of day will be utilizing ERP system issuing purchase orders and communicating with suppliers via email and phone.
- Issuing production purchase orders based on established pricing and optimized quantities.
- Adjust PO volumes when receiving is revised.
- Oversee manufacturing orders and updated sales forecasts.
- Expedite direct materials and production components when needed.
- Communicate back order statuses.
- Work with engineering and purchasing to set up Bill of Materials in ERP system.
- May help with reporting on data metrics like product quality, delivery, price, financial wellness, etc.
Job Qualifications
- 2+ years experience in supply chain
- 2+ years experience utilizing an ERP system
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to quickly learn new materials and components
- Comfortable working with 15+ suppliers
Additional Information
- 12 month contract to hire opportunity (long term)
- Pay will commensurate with experience ($18-$23/hour)
