Job description:
- Project Engineers work on a variety of projects. Primarily responsible for (a) Engineering collaboration and (b) Design and drafting projects.
(a) Engineering Collaboration
- Read engineering prints, interpret product and manufacturing intent, document functional and technical specifications for technical writing of products.
- If print definition is incomplete / drawings do not have enough information, collaborate with engineers, work with purchasing, suppliers, refer supplier catalogs online for complete product and manufacturing intent.
(b) Design and Drafting
- Gather technical requirements from various clients, plan the project by documenting the scope of work, effort estimations and schedules required to complete the project.
- Design routed systems using Creo, perform feasibility analyses by applying Design for Manufacturability, Assembly and Serviceability principles.
- Perform drafting and print checking using Creo to ensure that the deliverables meet First Time Right quality requirements.
- Upload the CAD deliverables into Teamcenter PDM , create releasing work flow processes.
- Report project status along with quality and velocity metrics.
