About this job

Manufacturing Technician ensures that the machine working components and work areas are in safe condition. They safely and efficiently operate a variety of machines, performs quality testing to ensure that appropriate machine adjustments can be made, performs necessary equipment repairs, and assist with shipping functions related to the pipe extrusion manufacturing location.

Machine Operators-Will be trained on all process so that they can follow procedures to safely start and adjust machine components to regulate speed, pressures, temps, amounts of resin, dimensions and flow of materials or ingredients as directed. They determine machine set up procedures and optimize product output and quality.

Quality Assurance: Follow SOP/ Direction to appropriately test for quality issues during production. Strong attention to detail is necessary to ensure measures of piping are correct.

Maintenance: Candidates need to have a strong mechanical aptitude to help with preventive maintenance, repairs of equipment, machine change overs , equipment cleaning and set ups.

Roles and Responsibilities
-Follow SOP/ Procedures
-Maintain understanding of different raw materials,
-Monitors machine operations/ observing lights and gauges to detect malfunctions
-Determine machine is running appropriately based on speed, pressures, temps, resin amounts, pipe dimensions,flow of materials
-Promptly notifies Supervisor of any product deficiencies so adjusts to machine can be made.
-Performs routine maintenance on machines
- Utilizes hand and pneumatic tools to do maintenance on equipment
-Verifies that correct materials are being used to manufacture pipe
- Keeps detailed records of production, quality, maintenance.
-Informs Supervision on all safety concerns immediately
- Completes any task required/asked around plant
