JOB REQUIREMENTS

Must Have:
- HS Diploma or GED
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies and procedure manuals and operating instructions
- Ability to perform basic mathematical functions such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
- Inspection skills: Ability to review/inspect components or assemblies to determine their acceptability or rejectability as dictated by specific customer requirements

Preferred:
- 6+ months assembly experience
- 6+ months quality inspection experience
- 6+ months machine operation experience

WORK ENVIRONMENT

These employees will be working in an automotive manufacturing environment 100% of the time.

It is a loud and highly active environment, so it is crucial that employees are alert at all times and follow the designated pathways when maneuvering throughout the floor.

A typical work day will have the employee on their feet for the entirety of their shift, with the exception of two 10-minute breaks and one 20-minute meal break.

DRESS CODE

Jeans or slacks and a t-shirt, appropriate shorts are permitted, athletic shoes or work boots (steel toes are not required), long hair must be pulled back, and protective eye-wear must be worn at all times. All operators must also wear cut & heat resistant gloves (these will be provided).

JOB DESCRIPTIONS

ASSEMBLER OVERVIEW:Performs repetitive workstation operations to produce luggage rack components or assemble those components into completed luggage racks by performing the following duties.

ASSEMBLER JOB DUTIES:
- Performs any assembly-type functions, using hand and/or power tools per the written assembly instructions.
- Package assemblies into shipping containers per the written packaging instructions.
- Verify the quality of the parts produced meet the designated Customer Requirements,
Corporate Appearance Standard and any functional requirements.
- Performs according to production standards and is accountable for correct production counts.

OPERATOR OVERVIEW:Operates presses and performs other operations at the machine on parts produced, such as; trimming, sorting, partial assembly, bagging, boxing, visual quality checks, and housekeeping.

OPERATOR JOB DUTIES:
- Responsible for maintaining cycle time.
- Responsible for secondary operations as required, such as; trimming, partial assembly and sorting.
- Responsible for packaging parts according to the work instruction sheet.
- Responsible for proper labeling of boxes.
- Performs according to production standards and is accountable for correct production counts.
- Responsible for accurately maintaining labor tickets on a daily basis and returning the completed labor ticket to the appropriate Zone Leader/Supervisor at the end of each shift.
- Responsible for reporting all scrap produced, including downtime.
- Responsible for producing a quality product that meets the expectation of the customer.
- Responsible for setting up press areas for the next job during mold changes.

FOR ALL POSITIONS:
- Performs daily housekeeping and plant organizational requirements on the assembly floor.
- Shall adhere to all safety, health and environmental procedures, policies and practices such as; utilizing personal protective equipment and proper attire in keeping with safety standards.
- Comply with all ISO/TS 16949 & ISO-4001 procedures and work instructions related to your job description.
