Position: Chemical Operator

Duration: Direct Placement

Shift: DUPONT Schedule

12 hour rotating shift between days/night 6AM to 6PM and then 6PM to 6AM

Will not work more than a max of 4 days straight (4 days on, 3 days off, etc.)

Job Description:

Perform all tasks related to the preparation, reaction, and storage of finished products and raw materials utilizing reactors, storage tanks, pumps and other equipment. Primarily responsible for charging raw materials to reactor, process batches, complete packaged batches, receive raw material through tank truck, and conduct all work safely.

Responsibilities:

• Ability to operate machines
• Follow Safety procedures
• Maintain daily logs and records
• Perform Physical Cycle Counts
• Read batch and operating instructions to prep raw material.
• Unload bulk raw materials from storage or packages, lifting 50lbs. regularly
• Proper operation of transfer controls, PLC Systems, pneumatic, and electrical equipment for the offloading of raw material.
• Load Raw material in the reactors through storage or packaged containers.
• Knowledge of reactors PLC front page for applying vacuum to reactors for loading or raw materials.
• Reading of basic parameters; temperature, pressure, mixer speed
• Using proper check list to track raw material charging
• Loading Re-Work and partial packages in the reactors
• Re-package finish goods for customer shipments
• Proper preparation of package material; labels, filling and capping, clean drums and totes, seal drums etc.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 yrs. working in manufacturing as a machine/chemical operator
• Technical aptitude, computer knowledge (Excel/Spreadsheets
• Required to lift up to 50lbs. regularly
• Must have some forklift experience, and ability to be certified on FLO, Jockey Truck, Rail Car
• High School Diploma or equivalent
