About this job

Position is a support role requiring more work direction whereby worker follows generally defined procedures. Worker performs chemical, biological, physical, and/or mechanical analyses and tests required for research, development, or quality control of processes and products. Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required. Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required. Experience in a lab or technical environment is preferred. Must be computer literate with good communication and time management skills.

1) Measure the peel adhesion of pressure sensitive tape on different surfaces (steel, glass) at different angles (90 and 180 degrees)
2) Measure the force required to peel liner from adhesive at different angles.
3) Measure the force required to unwind a roll of adhesive.
4) Measure the cohesive strength of adhesive at different static loads.
5) Measure the shear load of adhesives.
6) Measure the tensile strength (max force obtained before specimen ruptured) and elongation (at break point) of pressure sensitive tape.
7) Testing at different temperatures.
8) High level of communication with other technicians and engineers
9) Ability to work with others and stand for long periods of time.

Preferred education:

  • HS diploma minimum
  • Assists with compiling, analyzing, interpreting, and documenting results
  • Ability to follow procedures and methods and to work well on a self-directed team is required.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and skills as well as experience and specific training in inspection procedures and/or the product line are required.

Will be wearing safety goggles,lab coat and gloves. No certs or Medical needed.
