About this job
We are currently hiring a Software Engineer for one of our clients in the Louisville, KY area. This person will be working on design, development, implementation and support for product testing systems and manufacturing systems. The company is working to move away from PC based controls that it currently uses to more hardware based controls. They would also like to implement HMI's to work with those systems.
Responsibilities:
- Primarily an office based position doing design and software development for control systems
- This person will also work hand in hand with Maintenance, IT and the software engineering team to develop creative solutions to problems.
- First two to three months could be spent learning the existing systems and architecture in order to gain a strong understanding and then implement new solutions.
Qualifications:
- BS Degree in Engineering or other technical discipline (Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science)
- Software development experience with C# and/or VB.net for HMI applications on a Windows platform
- PLC logic development (Siemens preferred but not required)
- Database and data collection development experience with SQL
- Must have an understanding of Discrete and Analog I/O
