Environmental Worker - Full-time / Part-time

We're looking for an environmental service worker (EVS) to maintain environmental and infection control standards at a large hospital in the Twin Cities.

This janitorial/custodial position performs a variety of general cleaning and custodial tasks to maintain patient rooms, offices, hallways and other assigned areas of the facility. The position distributes and tracks clean linens to user departments, makes beds, mops/cleans floors, takes out the trash, etc.

This is a 20 hour a week position (40 hours every 2 weeks) with opportunity to pick up additional hours/shifts when available.

Additional Job Duties
1. Dusts furniture, woodwork and equipment and dust-mops floors. Polishes and cleans fixtures in rooms and bathrooms.
2. Operates mechanical floor cleaners, buffers, vacuums, shampooers, etc.
3. Wet-mops rooms, halls and other areas; shampoos rugs and furniture.
4. Cleans vents, fan fixtures, top of windows, door frames, etc.
5. Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials using specified bags or containers.
6. Buffs, strips, waxes and polishes floors.
7. Room turnovers/discharges - performing terminal cleaning procedures of patient rooms and prepares rooms for new occupants.
9. Cleans and disinfects all fixtures, floors, mirrors, windows, doors and walls of bathrooms.
10. Customer Service - must be a good communicator with co-workers + hospital tenants/guests.
