Production Leads

Aerotek is partnering with Allegion to hire Production Leads with experience in an industrial manufacturing setting! This is a direct hire position for Allegion, a growing company within the security industry.

Will be responsible for assisting in leading the production team. Will also be responsible for training new employees to ensure adherence to the Environmental Health and Safety policies/procedures.

JOB DUTIES:

• Allocate at least 80% of time to assist team on the production floor with fabrication
• Recommend improvement through knowledge and understanding of equipment and processes
• Demonstrate a sense of urgency for process improvements
• Record hourly production counts for the lines
• Help identify and resolve barriers to TAKT attainment
• Track and identify repeat issues for root cause analysis and assist with solution identification
• Use computer applications to update work instructions and reports
• Effectively communicate with Maintenance and Engineering to minimize the impact of downtime issues
• Recommend and participate in Rapid improvement events for TAKT improvement
• Acquire and demonstrate an understanding of basic Lean and Operational Excellence concepts
• Participate in Gemba start-up meetings and assist in posting Operational Excellence metrics

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficient in basic computer programs such as Excel and Word
• Must have basic math and literacy skills
• Must be adaptable to change, safety conscious, and have strong communication skills
• Ability to communicate well with others at all levels of the organization
• Ability to stand for at least 8 hours/day
• Ability to lift and move 25-50lbs

EXPECTED SCHEDULE: 8 hours/day with daily and weekend overtime as needed
