Civil surveying company is currently seeking civil designer candidates. The ideal candidates will have 2-4 years of preparing civil engineering drawings, site plans, construction plans, and design details utilizing computer aided drafting software and methods. Candidates should have an Associate degree or related technical certificate and 4 years minimum years of experience.
Responsibilities
- Able to work with minimal direction and minimal supervision to produce engineering documents and related material
- Ability to develop working drawings for civil site plans (grading, drainage, and paving) from sketches (determines scales, layout, and need for specific detail)
- Experience with development of plan and profile drawings with an understanding of page layout and the use of exaggerated vertical scales
- Work on multiple project tasks while maintaining a high level of flexibility and meeting deadlines
- Primary focus will be site planning and layout, water distribution, sewer collection, roadway design, storm water monitoring and sedimentation or erosion control
- Adhere to our core values of integrity, respect, quality, community and sustainability
Qualifications
- 2-4 years of drafting/design experience
- Associate degree in drafting/design preferred
- Proficiency with AutoCAD (Civil 3D)
