Seeking to hire A&P/Structural Technicians - all different skill levels. Pay is negotiable!
Position: A&P/Structural Technician
Placement: Contract-to-hire
Locations: Poway OR Mira Mesa
Top Three Skills: composite, assembly, & lay up
Job Description: Candidate would be responsible for the assembly of composite molds. The candidates will be fabricating composite parts using pre-preg and dry layup kits, vacuum bagging, sealing the composite parts with epoxies, are familiar with multi directional orientation or ply orientation. The molds require 100 lay ups to complete and blueprints and directions for completion are provided. All parts go through visual and dimensional inspections and must meet all of company's quality standards.
Work Environment: Manufacturing shop environment. The shop can get dirty and employees are responsible for keeping a clean work area. There are two shifts and about 50 people per shift. No specific dress code requirements but candidates should be ready to move products around.
Qualifications: No education requirements. 0 - 8 years of experience in composite lay-up & assembly, aerospace preferred, Kevlar experience PLUS; able to work with different molds and cross-train
Additional Compensation: 50 cent shift differential for the second shift positions
Additional Information: There are openings on first and second shift. Operates on a 9/80 work schedule, Monday through Friday, every other Friday off
- 1st shift: 5AM to 2:30PM, some overtime is required
- 2nd shift: 2:30PM- 12AM, some overtime is required
