Diesel/Fleet Mechanic - Full-time / Part-time

Under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic diagnoses and repairs concrete mixer trucks and loaders.

Job Description: Under the direction of the Fleet Manager, the Fleet Mechanic diagnoses and repairs concrete mixer trucks and loaders. Work Environment: 2nd Shift position 4pm-1am.
They will receive a one dollar shift differential for working the night shift.
-Veteran and/or military experience preferred Qualifications:

*Working knowledge of diesel trucks and chassis components.

Ability to work scheduled hours, which could include 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shift.

Perform all duties wearing proper PPE, including safety glasses, hard hat and reflective vest.
Data
entry computer skills, including work order entry and e-mail.

Mechanic must own the tools necessary to make repairs in a timely, efficient manner.

Performance Expectations: Removes components for repair or replacement such as, but not limited to: injectors, starters, water pumps, radiators, brakes, etc., Troubleshoots
and repairs hydraulic systems, electronics, and other components of a concrete mixer truck.
* Performs routine scheduled maintenance as outline on PM checklist sheets. Perform other duties as assigned including maintaining parts inventory and a clean shop. Interview Information: They will be interviewing with Rich Overton the mechanics manager.
He will ask questions around general mechanics dealing with engines, brakes, hydraulics, and electrical. Additional Compensation: ASE certifications are a plus, with each certification the contractor will receive a 50 cent raise.
