Food Manufacturing Intern - Full-time / Part-time

Working during the summer of 2018 at the DairiConcepts El Dorado Springs, MO manufacturing plant, this food manufacturing internship seeks candidates that are highly motivated, self-starters who can work with Production employees on an independent basis. The ideal candidate would be very inquisitive and is very eager to learn. The internship is very hands on. Strong computer skills are a must as you may be asked to develop written instructions or even training materials.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Learns how to operate a Spray Dryer and how to mix product in the Spray Dryer
• Trains in the QA Lab, Warehouse, and Maintenance areas
• Makes EMC (enzyme modified cheese)/pastes, fermentations, and dry blends
• Assists in writing work, lab or safety instructions
• Contributes to special projects and/or equipment installations
• Attends Technical Training in Bruce, WI

Required Experience

• Currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related discipline
• Prior internships with related experience are a plus but not required
• Strong demonstration of problem solving abilities
• Comfortable with laboratory and pilot plant equipment
• Able to work in a team environment
