Labontes Smokehouse BBQ
Open for season.
Labontes boasts house smoked barbecue faire and the best beach on the mountain. Located on the backside of the resort at the base of the Ruby and Santiago lifts, Labontes guests consists of skiers and riders, while allowing staff access to prime terrain. The Assistant Manager/Sous Chef assists in day to day operations of the outlet, runs the outlet on the GMs days off, as well as collaboration with GM/Director on larger strategic issues and ideas, responsible for daily checklists, daily assignments of areas of responsibility, assisting the GM/Chef in their duties, general supervision, coaching, training, and discipline.
This position can include kitchen work, general cleaning, snow removal, etc.

- Responsible for overseeing food production, handling, and ensuring quality product and service.
- Responsible for assisting with: ordering, inventory, reporting, and other administrative duties.
- Responsible for cash handling, computer work, open/close duties, bank deposits and accuracy in all money matters.
- Responsible for monitoring sanitation standards and ensuring outlet operates to all applicable standards.
- Responsible for notifying the responsible parties if any standards are not being met, and working with those parties to remedy the situation.
- Responsible for supervising front of house staff on the General Managers days off.
- Responsible for interacting with guests in order to facilitate quality guest service
- Assisting with general marketing, signage, promotions for the outlets.
- Assisting training motivation, and retention of staff.
This position can include kitchen work, general cleaning, snow removal, etc.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of culinary experience
- Excellent organizational, customer service and time management skills
- A flexible schedule is required including weekends, holidays, etc.
- Be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Supervisory experience - preferred
- Experience with resort operations - preferred
