Job purpose
As a Bartender, you ensure consistent drink quality by preparing orders in a short period of time and in accordance with recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department. You will also maintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work area in a fast paced environment, while providing superior guest service.

As a Bartender, you ensure consistent drink quality by preparing orders in a short period of time and in accordance with recipes and guidelines established by the Food and Beverage department. Duties and responsibilities
- Communicate with guests using clear and enthusiastic words, tone and body language at all times. Make guest feel appreciated through your actions.
- Verify guests that purchase alcohol are at least 21 years of age.
- Possess full knowledge of bar and menu items and be able to make recommendations. Consistent use of suggestive selling techniques.
- Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests in a timely manner at the bar and lounge area.
- Deliver food and beverage orders within established time frames. Consistently use suggestive selling techniques.
- Ensure that alcohol is consumed in designated areas only.
- Set up and maintain appropriate stock levels for the bar.
- Follow sequence of service for all guest transactions.
- Mix, garnish and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks for patrons of the bar, lobby and lounge following standard recipes.
- Complete all opening, mid and closing procedures.
- Responsible service of alcohol. Should a guest reach the state you feel they should not drive, we will call a taxi. Do not hesitate to ask for management intervention if necessary.
- Keep Bar Supervisor up to date on inventory levels.
- Wash and sanitize all stemware.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Proficient guest service, administrative and follow-up skills.
- Be of legal age to serve liquor according to state law.
- Knowledge of basic food handling regulations.
- Success in a high volume bar environment.
- Demonstrated ability to provide superior guest service.
- Proper cash handling etiquette.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to navigate P.O.S.
- Flexible working hours including holidays and weekends.
