RiverWoods Exeter part of The RiverWoods Group, is the premier provider of senior living services in the southern NH seacoast area. We are looking for a special individual who is administratively organized, with a background in Food Service Management, and the ability to lead and inspire a team to join us as our new Manager of Dining Services supporting The Boulders campus.

This leadership opportunity encompasses a multitude of responsibilities, but foremost creating and fostering a meaningful working experience for members of our dining services team. The successful candidate will help us continue to propel our dining services department forward in providing world class dining services through consistent execution of culinary and service basic practices. They will be present, set priorities, be consistent, delegate tasks and have a clear vision for the dining team. CCRC healthcare managerial experience preferred. Current ServSafe manager certification required.

Under the Direction of the Director of Dining Services, some other key components of the position consist of but are not limited to:
  • Manage the dining department operations within the approved operating budget.
  • Lead the process for hiring, orienting and training new employees.
  • Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with all OSHA standards.
  • Implement and maintain an operating Standards of Practice (SOP) for food preparation, service and quality assurance.
  • Practice First-In-First-Out (FIFO) inventory management and control procedures.
  • Support menu planning and design with the active involvement of residents and culinary team members to ensure variety, freshness and highest possible nutrition content.
  • Be present and engaged with residents during meal times, especially during dinner meal times to assure highest food quality and service execution occurs in all dining locations (IL, AL, and SN).
Duties require an Associate’s Degree in Food Service Management and/or Culinary arts. Bachelors of Science degree in Hospitality Management, Business, Human Resources, or Culinary preferred. A minimum of seven (7) years equivalent and relevant experience in senior services and/or health care dining management, and ServSafe Certification required.

Work Schedule: Weekdays and weekends (on rotating basis) including evenings through dinner meal service times, and holidays to support and effectively oversee dining services operations.
